Stirling Long - Dawsonville, GA

Team Leader:  Alex Burt

Stirling Long was born a twin in Johannesburg, South Africa. Shortly thereafter his parents moved to Kitwe in Zambia. He and his twin brother Garth were educated in the Eastern Province of South Africa and attended a Private Boarding School Run by Catholics.

After school Stirling and his twin brother Garth joined the British South Africa Police Force. The 1960’s and 1970’s were very troubling times in Africa. Rhodesia was at that time at war with Communist Trained Insurgents. This was at the height of the Cold War and Communism was fast spreading through the undeveloped world of South America, Asia, and Africa.

Later Garth, Stirling’s Twin was to be ambushed in the May of 1977 and although he survived the ambush attack, he was left severely injured. Garth, told Stirling in hospital that as the ambush occurred, he had shouted out, ” Jesus Save Me!” Milliseconds later the RPG rocket exploded inside his vehicle. Leaving Garth and the driver as the sole survivors. He was seriously injured and left totally blind.

One Good Friday in 1988, Stirling attended a Protestant Church and heard the full Gospel preached. The Preacher repeatedly stated, “You must be Born Again, or you won’t even see Heaven!” This simple Gospel message so impressed Stirling that as the altar call was given, he raced up to the altar to give his life to the Lord.

Stirling completed a D J Kennedy Evangelism Explosion Ill training Course and worked with an Australian Ministry called, “Reach Out Ministries “, helping with their street evangelism programs in Soweto and Johannesburg. Reach Out Ministries also traveled to nearby Swaziland and did open air preaching in the townships and surrounding Cities. The 80’ and 90’s and early 2000’s was an incredible time to be a Christian in changing Southern Africa.

In 2006 Stirling and his then wife Diana immigrated to Los Angeles CA. They later moved South East to Georgia in 2009 and settled close to their daughter Bernadette in Dawsonville GA. Three years later Stirling’s wife Diana was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. It was whilst nursing Diana with an incurable condition that he came to understand the true meaning of God’s faithfulness. The Lord supernaturally provided for them and made a way for Stirling to give up work to help nurse Diana. The last five months of Diana’s life and the 11 days in Hospice reinforced his belief that death was a certainty, and we all in desperate need of a Savior. Diana died in March 2016.

In June 2017 Stirling married Carol Pilcher, also a widow. They soon became involved in street ministry handing out gospel tracts at Malls and College Campuses. In August 2019 Stirling contacted Son Life Ministries in Athens GA. SonLife mentored and instructed Stirling in the basics of Open-Air Preaching.

They are dedicated to taking the Gospel to their Neighbors and surrounding Cities. Stirling has preached on two occasions at their City’s “Moonshine Festivals”. Stirling and Carol are active on the streets and Squares of Dahlonega, Dawsonville, and Helen GA.

Steven Stanley – Morehead, KY

Team Leader:  Alex Burt

My name is Steven Stanley and I live in Morehead KY with my wife and two sons.

I am currently the Pastor of Clearfield Baptist Church. I also have worked in healthcare as a nurse/nurse practitioner for 20 years.

I lived the majority of my adult life as a non-believer, then was a false convert for about 2 years before God granted me genuine repentance and faith in His precious Son. He immediately placed a burden on my heart for the lost that resulted in active street evangelism. I have attended the Super Bowl Outreaches in New Orleans, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, Houston and also the last five KY Derby Outreaches. I live in a college town so when school is in session I enjoy going to campus to open air preach and hand out Gospel tracts. I have been active in abortion clinic ministry in Lexington and Louisville, KY for last 5 years

I am also attempting to be a seminary student at Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary in Owensboro, KY seeking my Masters in Pastoral Studies and ultimately my MDiv.

It is a privilege and honor to preach Christ and Him crucified and I look forward to laboring with my brothers and sisters in the Lord! SDG!

Rich Suplita - Athens, GA

Team Leader:  Alex Burt

Team Andy

Dave Block - Chula Vista, CA

Team Leader:  Andy Schmelzer

Jon Clement - Grants Pass, OR

Team Leader:  Andy Schmelzer

Jon Clement grew up in Portland, Oregon and attended Catholic church as a child. He was a typical baby-boomer child of alcoholic parents, got into the usual trouble unsaved kids get into, due to sin. He attended various churches in his early 20s, but didn’t become saved until 1994, through a Baptist Church in Klamath Falls. After hearing sermons on sin, Hell, the wrath of God, and judgment, and that God could save him from his sins through Jesus Christ, he cried out to Him on the evening of January 22, ’94.

He immediately began witnessing to others about what Jesus had done, but with no real effective

evangelism training. Jon “lead several people to the Lord”, only later to find they were only false

converts. His passion and burden for lost souls grew over the years, but it wasn’t until his friend Greg Beals introduced him to Biblical evangelism via The Way of The Master, using the Law before the gospel, that he began to understand more about evangelism.

In 2008, Jon began a Facebook page called RV Rogue Valley Saltshakers as a means to keep evangelistic friends in touch with local outreaches. Since then, the page has been used to post helpful evangelistic and apologetic articles, videos, and even memes to communicate Biblical truth, as well as continuing to post events and invite saints to participate in outreaches at fairs, concerts, abortion outreaches, LGBT outreaches, and evangelism related training events and classes.

Jon has grown more excited about open air preaching, after attending Living Waters’ Ambassadors Academy in August 2017, where he received some great training and coaching by the staff, then getting more training and experience through SFOI. Jon’s trip to Mexico City, to preach at the football game and on the streets, kindled his desire to become fluent in Spanish one day, to preach more in Spanish, and return to Mexico, and even Ecuador to evangelize with friends in those places.

He hopes this SFOI SBO outreach will be a great time of growth in the area of open-air preaching, by observing more seasoned preachers in action, and hearing teaching on the subject.

Jon has been married to Leanne since July of 1998, and they have a 6 year old chocolate lab named

Chelsea. Leanne and Jon attend a Church called Ekklesia in Grants Pass, where Jon and others lead

WOTM evangelism training classes and hold evangelism workshops to train and equip the saints for reaching the lost.

Gerry Collins – Bakersfield, CA

Team Leader:  Andy Schmelzer

image of open air preaching

I was not brought up in a Christian home and was influenced for the Gospel by other family members attending church where the Gospel was proclaimed. I made a profession of faith at around 14 years of age but soon that profession was placed on the back burner during my teen years. While in the Air Force as firefighter at age 20 God had me surrounded by Christians who shared the truth with me and this is the point where I truly believe God saved me and changed my heart for Him. AT around 2003 the Lord caused me through His word to fall in love with the Gospel all over again and gave me a hunger to share Christ with the lost more than I ever had before. I have been greatly encouraged in faith and desire to share Christ by the ministry of Livingwaters/Way of the Master. I have attended Ambassadors Academy which has opened up for me to participate in street evangelism. I am married wonderful woman and have 5 grown children. My desire is share the Gospel with as many people as possible as God allows.

Daniel Dearborn - Santa Maria, CA

Team Leader:  Andy Schmelzer

My name is Daniel Dearborn. I am thankful to my Lord, Jesus Christ, who rescued me. I was not raised in a believing home. As a child, I was brought to church by a Christian family who lived across the street from us. As a young adult, by Grace, through a work of The Holy Spirit, I confessed Christ, repented of sin, and began the journey of sanctification.

I am currently a high school Journalism teacher on the Central Coast of California. I enjoy leading the high school demographic toward Christ. With organizations such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes I am able to facilitate Christian lunch clubs on campus. I enjoy speaking and teaching about Christ, passing out tracts and discipling believers. I look forward to learning more and growing in public gospel proclamation under SFOI. My wife, Mendy and I serve in the youth program at our local church, have been married 14 years and have four young children.

Warren Marquardt – Lakeland, FL

Team Leader:  Andy Schmelzer

image of open air preaching

Warren and Darlene are originally from Wisconsin but now live in Florida. We were both born again by the grace of our LORD and Savior Jesus (Yehovah Elohiym), the Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit (Ruwach Elohiym), as initiated by the Father ('Ab) in 1989. One God in three persons. Since then we have continued raising our 4 children into adulthood and now as empty nesters are seeking to serve our God in other ways. We are thankful for the ministry of SFOI in providing many of those other ways. We also do our own street outreach and from time to time abortion clinic ministry.

We serve in the children's ministry at our local church and consistently stay late at church to minister to the needs of the building and the people who attend services and arrive early to pray for the service that day and any other known needs. Our greatest desire as a couple is to be an example of Christ and the church to the world at large. We know we share equally in the ministry that God has given us to do and we honor the marriage covenant with the husband as the head (the example of Jesus who laid down his life for the church) and the wife as the church (seeking to serve Jesus in all things). There is no greater thing in life than to serve the Living God in all that we do whether separately or in unity. We look forward to serving with you in Miami!

Nathaniel Porter - Akron, OH

Team Leader:  Andy Schmelzer

image of open air preaching

When I was six years old, I asked Jesus into my heart while I was on the potty. Growing up in an ordinary American evangelical household, I believed that praying the simple prayer of “Jesus please come into my heart,” was both necessary and sufficient to be saved from my sins. My parents had left the ELCA church we were attending around this time in my life because they had begun affirming homosexuality even in the early 1990s. We moved a non-denominational church that was more biblical, preached God’s Word, and encouraged personal study. Throughout my childhood my mom took me to all of the vacation bible schools and other church activities she could find. She always told me to think about Jesus before she dropped me off at. My dad always encouraged me to “keep my Bible where I could get at it.” My parents did the best they knew how to raise me in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

The problem was that the simple prayer didn’t bring about my conversion and Jesus wasn’t “in my heart.” The first time I look at pornography was when I was thirteen, I first got drunk when I was seventeen, and the first time I abused drugs was when I was twenty-three. I lived my life as a moralistic-therapeutic-deist. I was moralistic because I knew the Bible and the rules of pietistic Christianity. I was either proud and self-justified by this knowledge, or crushed when I failed to live up to my imaged standard. At the times I was crushed, I would come to God to therapeutically to either have my sins forgiven and to get more of His stuff. Finally, I was very deistic in that I didn’t see God as particularly involved in my affairs.

My conversion came when I was in law school at the age of twenty-seven. During the time I was in law school I had become severely addicted to Adderall and opiates. I had even obtained two different scripts from separate doctors. I was eventually caught double-dipping, cut off by the doctors, and was no longer able to continue in my addiction. Because of this I was forced to take a medical leave from law school and also to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. AA’s third step is to “Make a decision to turn your will and life over to God.” This is an impossible task for the natural man as I quickly found out. Around this time, I was also listening to sermons by a famous preacher in the Presbyterian tradition who made a point to preach the Gospel each time he exposited the Word. One night I had cried out that Jesus would never leave me, and this time God used a simple prayer to effect my conversion. Something had changed; I was changed and I needed to know what had happened.

I became Reformed early in my faith. When I was converted I immediately knew that my entire life I had not actually been a Christian. The first book of the Bible that I studied in any depth was Paul’s letter to the Romans. Romans 1:18-32 was the first place in the Bible that I noticed the Scriptures lining up perfectly with reality because it seemed to perfectly describe the depths of my depravity. I realized from this study that I was formally a God-hater and was now made new threw faith in Christ alone and not by any moralistic work.

Shortly after I became a Christian I served for three and half years in the middle school ministry at my former non-denomination church. There I taught a group of students from the time they were in sixth grade through eighth grade and began with a fresh crop of students until I moved to a new church in the winter of 2018. I am now a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and hold to the Westminster Standards. I have been engaged in street evangelism since the summer of 2018.

Bill ‘DOC’ Schank – South Saint Paul, MN

Team Leader:  Andy Schmelzer

image of open air preaching

I was raised in the Catholic religion. Less than 2 month’s after Graduating High School in 1982 I enlisted in the United States Air Force. On the evening of Resurrection Sunday (April of 1989, while I was working in the Emergency Room as an Emergency Medical Technian, at Ramstein Air Base West Germany), Chaplain Richard Spearman came in to visit us. While we were talking briefly, he said, “SGT. Schank, if you ever want to talk, Please call me and we can set up an appointment”. I made an appointment with Chaplain Richard Spearman (and we met once a week) for 4 week’s. During those appointments, Chaplain Spearman “took me through” the 10 Commandments. I experienced, exactly what GOD says in Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. I truly experienced Godly sorrow, as I sat in Chaplain Spearman’s office: and I wept over all of the sin in my life. Praise The LORD, that GOD granted me the gift of Repentance and I was born again on 26th of May 1989.

Four month’s later, I went through a very similar experience just like Job experienced in the Bible. (I was Medically Retired from the United States Air Force for post traumatic stress. Due to the Air Show Disaster that happened at Ramstein Air Base on 28 August 1988. 3 Italian Fighter Jets collided while performing a Very Dangerous “Heart Shaped Maneuver”. The 1 Jet, “clipped” 2 other Jet’s on the tail of their Aircraft, and that Fighter Jet Tumbled right through the Crowd of Spectators: Wounding 500 people and killing 70 other Spectators. I was 1 of MANY Medical Personnel who worked on all of the wounded and dealt with many of the dead bodies. ***GOD IS GOOD, and he has brought me a Very Long Way in “healing” from dealing with all of that Trauma.

Praise The LORD, in 1993 GOD brought Ginny into my life and we were Married on 29 July 1995. She TRULY Is My Proverbs 31 Bride/Wife, & 7 day’s ago and Thanks to GOD: We Celebrated our 22nd Wedding Anniversary!!! We have 5 Adult Children: Sabrina (35), Eric (34), Aeron (33), Alyx (28), and Ana (27). And, GOD has Blessed us with 9 Beautiful Grandchildren!! During the Spring, Summer and Fall of 1993 & 1994 I did evangelism on the Street’s of Saint Paul: handing out Gospel Tract’s and 1:1 witnessing.

The very 1st time that I Preached in the Open Air, in St.Paul Minnesota, I experienced physical persecution from the Police; Unfortunately, I ran from doing evangelism on the Street’s, until 2005. The Spring of 2005 I started evangelizing on the Street’s of Downtown Minneapolis with other Believer’s. (2005- 2008 we handed out Gospel Tract’s and did 1:1 witnessing). 2009 is the 1st year that I started Preaching The Gospel in the Open Air, and by GOD’S GRACE I’m still Preaching The Gospel in Downtown Minneapolis and sometimes in other States. Praise GOD, I have been to the Super Bowl Outreach 6 times, the Fall for Greenville Outreach 3 times (when they used to have it), and I have been to a few Outreaches in New York City. Also, by GOD’S Grace and Strength, I have been to the Ukraine (during the Summer) on Short-Term Mission’s Trips 2009, 2010 & 2011.

And, 3 year’s ago I was in Guatemala for a Short-Term Mission’s Trip. LORD Willing, this coming February, I will be 1 of the Team Leader’s @ Super Bowl Outreach ’18. ***I Love to Preach The Gospel and “Lift Up” The Name That Is ABOVE Every name. To plead with all of the lost soul’s to be Reconciled to GOD. And to warn/let ALL of them know, that one day Every Knee Shall Bow, and Every Tongue Confess That JESUS Christ Is LORD, To The GLORY Of GOD The Father!!

This past May 17th – May 30th: I was in Israel with 6 other Brother’s Preaching The Gospel. (6 of us were from the United States & Brother Desmond Smyth came from Dublin, Ireland). Praise The LORD, we Preached in Jerusalem, Caparneum, Eliat (I don’t know if I spelled that correctly; It’s the Southernmost City in Israel), and in Tel Aviv. The Gospel was FAITHFULLY Preached, we gave away MANY Bibles that were in the Hebrew language and Many Ingil’s (That means New Testament’s that were in Arabic). SOLO DEO GLORIA!!!

Jacob Bradshaw - Rose Hill, NC

Team Leader:  David Day

image of open air preaching

My name is Jacob Bradshaw and I was born in Wilmington, NC and raised just a few miles from Rose Hill, North Carolina. I have lived in the same county my entire life.

I am married to my beloved bride, Kele, and we have four children, two boys and two girls (Jacob Jr., Josiah, Rose, and Rachel). I am leading and raising my children in the same house I grew up in. I am employed with a major Managed Care Organization in North Carolina and I am a member of Redemption Fellowship Church in Willard, North Carolina (a small, rural Southern Baptist church in northern Pender County, NC).

I graduated from Heritage Bible College (Dunn, NC) with a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree in Biblical Studies in 2011.

The majority of my life, I was a false convert. I “walked the aisle” around the age of eight or nine years old, “accepted Jesus into my heart” at the church I was attending, but was never truly converted. In 2009, my late friend Scott introduced me to the preaching of John MacArthur. I had never heard anyone preach the Gospel and I began studying the doctrines of grace and eventually began reading the Puritans. It wasn’t until around 2012 that I realized the depravity of my soul and how, without repentance and faith in Christ Alone, I was headed for hell. By His sovereign grace, He saved my soul.

In 2021, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and increased time at home working remotely, the Lord placed an urgent burden on my soul to publicly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost. In late July 2021, I (admittedly with much fear) evangelized with brothers and sisters from Jacksonville, NC at the Wilmington, NC abortion mill. In September 2021, I preached in the open air for the very first time in the small town of Wallace, NC alongside a fellow brother in Christ. While I occasionally travel outside of my “home base” to evangelize, I primarily evangelize where I live, which is a very rural area.

My favorite books of the Bible are 1 John and Hebrews, and I love reading the works of J.C. Ryle.

James Cartwright - Shelbyville, KY

Team Leader:  David Day

image of open air preaching

My name is James Cartwright. I live in Kentucky with my wife Hannah and our two sons Joshua and Aubrey. I was raised in church and professed Christ at a very young age. It was not until thirteen that I came under conviction of my sin and turned to Christ. After that I started reading the Bible with a new desire. Although I did not have a good understanding of evangelism. At twenty I started seeking ways to evangelize the lost starting with a prayer station I had seen another Church do. Now I am a member of that church. I desire to preach to the lost and my elders are helping, guiding and conforming my calling. I hope one day to be a missionary to New Zealand but for now I hope to be a faithful preacher of the gospel.

Blake Cochran - Roanoke, AL

Team Leader:  David Day

image of open air preaching

My name is Blake Cochran. I have a beloved wife and three kids. My kids often join my team for evangelism. I direct an evangelistic ministry called Lights in the Darkness whose purpose it is to take the Gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation, to those outside of the walls of our churches. This ministry has been active since 2017, after the Lord began to call me to street ministry in 2016. In 2021, I received the honor of ordination by my pastors Scott Dukus and Patrick Turman of Turnaround Christian Ministries as a minister of the Word. My life’s greatest desire is to one day find myself standing before The Lord of Lords and hear the words, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”.  My second greatest desire is like it, to lead as many other people as I can to that same blessed fate. The Lord Jesus rescued me from the sea of condemnation in which I drowned. In His grace, He saw fit to call me out of my deception and my lukewarm walk. I am eternally and indescribably grateful, knowing the terrible fate which I deserve but am sparred from thanks to the blood of Jesus. As deep and abundant as was my condemnation, much more abundant and powerful is His grace by which I was delivered. By His blood and my testimony, I have been set free. He who the Son sets free is free indeed. Having been set free by the Son from my captivity, I am now one who looks to share the Key, that is the Gospel, that can rescue others from their captive slavery to sin. All glory, honor, and praise to The King.

My name is Joshua Tubbs and I live in Helena, Alabama just minutes south of Birmingham. I am married to a loving and faithful wife for almost fifteen years and have been blessed with four daughters. I was in the media and advertising business for close to twenty years before I left to start my own business. The Lord saved me around eleven years of age but I didn’t get serious about sharing the gospel until some years back. I was tired of being on the sidelines and even in the stands watching from a distance as the battle waged on the field of evangelism. I am grateful and thankful beyond words at the grace of our mighty God and His patience with me. I hope that the Lord can use me to share the gospel to a lost and dying world and that I can be an encourager to fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Team Heath

Ryan Clark – Grants Pass, OR

Team Leader:  Heath Pucel

I am so blessed! I recently celebrated 20 years of marriage, and the Lord has granted us 4 children. If we get the chance to serve the Lord together, you will likely meet, at a minimum, my sons. We live and preach the gospel here in Southern Oregon.

The Lord saved me at 15, and has faithfully brought me through many highs and lows. I studied at Moody Bible Institute and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary to be a pastor, but currently I am a teacher in a youth detention facility. 3 years ago I was encouraged to pray a prayer every day. So I set up a reminder, to give me a notice at 10:02 am. The prayer, taken from Luke 10:2: “Lord of the harvest, I pray you send workers into the field, for the harvest is ready, and the laborers are few.” When you ask the Lord to send out workers, don’t be surprised when He ends up sending you! For over a year now, I have joined up with other saints of God who minister throughout Oregon at fairs, festivals, parades, city streets, and everything in between. This is my second year preaching the gospel at the University of Oregon with SFOI.

John Coble –Nashville, TN

Team Leader:  Heath Pucel

image of open air preaching

I’m John Coble and I live in the Nashville, TN area with my wife, Cara. I didn’t grow up in a Christian home, but came to Christ just before high school. Many years later, in October of 2008, I was experiencing severe back pain and went forward for prayer at a special “worship and prayer” service at my church. I didn’t receive physical healing, but I did receive a burden for lost people and for sharing the gospel. (My back eventually got better after months of physical therapy.)

I discovered Ray Comfort and Living Waters ministry a few months later when my TiVo DVR spontaneously recorded “The Way of the Master”. In 2010, I had the tremendous blessing of getting to attend Ambassadors’ Academy (#13) and as a result got connected with Bill Adams and Sports Fan Outreach Int’l.

Since then I have participated in at least 10 outreaches sponsored by SFOI. I regularly preach on the sidewalks and outside special events on weekends in downtown Nashville. I also preach at most of the Titans football home games. Proclaiming the Good News has been the most exciting, meaningful adventure I can imagine.

Bryan Conwell - Benson, MN

Team Leader:  Heath Pucel

image of open air preaching

Bryan Conwell was born in Oklahoma City in 1986. He grew up in Kansas in the Topeka area. A turbulent early childhood ensued that concluded with his adoption by his biological uncle and his wife. Their names are Kent and Dawn Conwell. Bryan graduated high school in 2005 during which he worked for his fathers small business in Auburn Kansas. A year after graduation Bryan enlisted in the Marine Corps and was assigned an MOS of 6114, Huey and Cobra powertrain mechanic. After a five year tour and multiple deployments Bryan met a girl and thought she was grand. Problems quickly ensued after Bryan left the military, as he then decided to self medicate with alcohol. For three years his wife dealt with his emotional outbursts and drunken fits. Bridget birthed their son Logan in March of 2012. Bryan continued to drink after Logan was born and eventually lost both his son and his wife. The next few years were more of the same. More alcohol and self destructive behavior. In 2015 God in his infinite wisdom blessed Bryan with a dui. Gods grace was present in the treatment of Bryan by both the arresting officers and the courts. Bryan successfully completed his probation obligations and began attending Evangelical Free Church of Eaton in Colorado. It was there that Bryan was convicted in his heart of his wickedness and failures before God; of his open declaration of war upon his very creator. It was there that Christ washed him clean. It was there that His grace found the sinner. Bryan was baptized shortly after his conviction and salvation. While there Bryan met Steve Bauer, and through conversing with him Steve eventually invited Bryan to go out with the street evangelism team on Friday nights in Ft. Collins Colorado. Thus began Bryan's journey with Christ as a street preacher. Bryan now lives in Minnesota and by the grace and will of God is in a much better relationship with his son Logan. Bryan has been sober since 2015 by the grace of Christ. Bryan has continued to study and attend church in Benson. Bryan is very much looking forward to meeting many more members of the body of Christ. Blessing to you all and may Gods glory shine!

I have been married for going on 20 years to Missy. We’ve been together since high school. We have 2 sons, Seth 14 and Ben 10. We live in Denton Texas about an hour north of Dallas.

I lived as a false convert for several years until around 10 years ago when by God’s grace I came into contact with Ray Comfort’s “Hell’s Best Kept Secret” and “True and False Conversion”. The first message helped me to truly understand the Gospel and the second revealed my complete absence of Faith in said Gospel.

Currently my family and I are making preparations to relocate to the Provo Utah area to Lord willing be a part of disciples being made and see churches being planted.

Soli Deo Gloria!

I served in the U.S. Navy for 5 years aboard the submarine USS Miami (SSN-755) otherwise known as the “Big Gun” as a Mess Specialist (Cook). I departed the military in 2003 and moved to where I now call home, South Carolina. I began work at the outback Steakhouse as a grill cook and at that time met my beautiful bride, who was a server, Missy McGough. After hearing the Gospel and Christ regenerated my heart a year after meeting Missy, we were joined together in marriage and began our life together as one.

For about 8 years we immersed ourselves into a local Baptist church right down the road from where we lived and served in children’s ministry and choir singing. About 4 years ago a friend reached out to me about a local street ministry opportunity in Myrtle Beach. I had felt a burning desire to tell others about Christ, so this was my chance. After that night, I began to minister in the streets and joined my 1st outreach with a large group at the Fall for Greenville festival in 2013. After attending this outreach, I was introduced to SFOI and the SBO by a friend, and now this will be my 5th Super Bowl. My 2nd as Co-Director and 3rd as an unofficial Team Leader.

It has been a great pleasure serving with SFOI for the past 5 years as a student and helping hand to the ministry. I have met so many wonderful saints and look forward to serving more and more until the Lord returns or calls me home! Soli Deo Gloria.

My name is Jeff Warner, I’m 36 years old from Grants Pass, OR. I have a wife and 3 wonderful kids. I didn’t grow up in the church and didn’t even open a Bible until I got saved at age 29. I literally knew nothing about the Bible…I didn’t know about Adam and Eve, Noah, Moses, Jesus, etc, I guess you can say I was a true clean slate. I got saved on Sept 20th 2009.

I have been very active in sharing the Gospel for the past 4 years, prior to that I just didn’t have any idea where to start and didn’t know anybody who did evangelism, which is a sad commentary on modern day Churchianity. I started open air preaching in San Francisco at SBO ’16 and have been preaching regularly ever since. I was blessed to preach with a group of brothers through SFOI in San Diego at the MLB All Star Game as well as several events throughout Oregon and in Reno, NV, etc. The Lord has opened many doors for ministry this year and I can’t wait to preach with the saints at SBO ’17.

Saved by the hand of God shortly after my wife was saved some 21 yrs ago now. We have been married for 24 years and have had one daughter who’s recently married to a godly young man. I’ve worked for Wisconsin in the highway department for about 20 years and now serve in the area of roadway maintenance. I currently serve in our new local home fellowship “Word from the Barn” as the Life Events Deacon for the last 3yrs. I’ve been sharing my faith through testimony and tracts for about 20 years but only 3 years of experience in open air preaching. I’m looking forward to laboring alongside my fellow brothers and sisters in the faith in a much larger venue SBO 16 and declaring the Glorious Gospel of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Joe grew up in Shillington, PA and attended First EC Church of Reading. He is a 1978 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. In 1982, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Millersville University. In the spring of 1982 as a senior in college, Joe committed his life to Jesus Christ. Upon graduation, Joe began his career as an accountant in Trenton, NJ. During this time, he attended Newtown Community Church in Newtown, PA. While attending this church, Joe felt the call to full time ministry. He left his job to attend Moody Bible Institute for a 3-week seminar on Urban Evangelism with plans to attend Evangelical Seminary in the fall of 1984. When Joe returned from Moody, he began a street ministry in the city of Reading called Inner City Campaigners. From this street ministry, an outreach to children and teens began at First EC of Reading called The Source. This ministry continued from 1984 to 1988 when Joe moved to Philadelphia, PA. Joe began his theological studies at Evangelical in 1984 and ended in 1987. During this time, Joe became a commissioned missionary and a licensed preacher in the Evangelical Congregational Church in May of 1985. In 1985, Joe and Wendy met at Evangelical Seminary while he was working on his Masters of Divinity studies and were married in 1986. They have five sons, four daughters-in-law and seven grandchildren (and counting).

In 1988, Joe and Wendy moved to Philadelphia to begin work full time with Open Air Campaigners which lasted until 1992, when Joe began to serve as an associate evangelist with them until 2000. Joe now serves on the board of directors of OAC, Inc. In 1992, Joe became one of the few Evangelical Congregational Church denominational missionaries, which is a status that continued until 2008. In 2009 Joe formed his own 501c non-profit corporation called Open Air Ministries, Inc. Joe’s ministry is primarily evangelistic by nature. Outreach has been conducted at bus stops, subways, college campuses, center city, parades, events, neighborhoods, parks and other areas in and around the Metro Philadelphia Area. In the past, Joe was involved in the Philadelphia Port Ministry, outreach in inner city neighborhoods with children and was a co-pastor for Metro Kids, an outdoor kid’s church in various locations in Philadelphia from 2007 to 2011.

From 2013 – 2021, Joe did weekly outreach in Camden, NJ and in the summer conducted outreach at the New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware beach resorts. During the school year, outreach was also done on various college campuses. Joe and Wendy have transitioned to the Raleigh, NC area where Joe will continue to do outreach with various organizations and other evangelists at abortion clinics, bus stops, the bar strip, the streets of Raleigh, college campuses and wherever God may lead. He will continue to travel to national events such as Mardi Gras, Indy 500, Spring Break Florida, Senior Week in Ocean City, MD, sporting events and other events to share the gospel.

I am a 29 year old Miami  native, currently living in San Diego. I'm pursuing a Masters in Christian Ministry and working in a psychiatric hospital as a recreational therapist. I've had the honor to teach the gospel to different cultures around the world, including the Dominican Republic, Belgium, and Italy. My journey of open air preaching started with the Gospel of God ministries; I'm thankful for the flame that was fanned by Tommy Waltz.

I grew up in a family with no religious background. The leaders in my life were alcoholics and loved pornography, so this was my influence. I was born a twin. While I was in the womb, my position did not allow my right side to develop properly. I entered the world partially paralyzed and developed a speech impediment when I started talking. In the fourth grade I was diagnosed with a learning and reading disability. I was picked on a lot in school and was told that I was slow and dumb. During my late teenage years my father told me that I was not going to work on his farm because of my slow comprehension. I found work in Columbia, South Carolina as a personal trainer and my idol became my body. I also joined several rock bands. With my last band we produced a CD and toured the Southeast. This life was from the pits of hell. The longer I lived, the more I hated my life. I had no purpose, no meaning, and no direction.

At the age of twenty-three, a lady invited me to a play on the life of Jesus. It explained His life from birth to His resurrection. This was the start of the whole transformation. I didn’t give my life to Christ that night. I continued running for a year. As I read God’s word, deeper conviction of sin grew. I was on the verge of taking my life, but through God’s grace He spared my life. The night I was going to take my life I found a card in my room from a person that reminded me of Jesus’ love for me. Turning to the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, I repented and placed my faith in Jesus that night in my room. My view of life is simple – Jesus died and came out of the grave for me, so I have to live for Him.

My Jesus found me broken on my bedroom floor not wanting to live anymore. Oh, how can I not share His Glorious Name? He has taken a slow, crippled boy off a farm in South Carolina and given him new life. I type this with tears in my eyes. I am a man who is blessed beyond measure with an amazing wife who has believed in me from day one and three amazing girls.

May we all boast together in what Jesus Christ has done in all of our lives. We serve an amazing God. He saved us and now He deserves our entire lives.

I have had the opportunity to lead a ministry called Gospel of God Ministries since 2009. GGM preaches and teaches the Gospel until faith becomes action.

The faith has a twofold action. First, it is pulling the unbeliever into the kingdom through repentance and faith in Jesus. Second, it is pushing the believer out into the world to share their faith. Find out more at http://www.gospelgm.com

This will be my fifth SBO with New Orleans, New York, Phoenix, and San Francisco under my belt by God’s grace. I look forward to leading my team alongside the other leaders at next year’s SBO. Go and proclaim the Gospel to see a life transformed!

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16

Born in Los Angeles, CA to Mexican/Salvadorian parents.  Moved to Arizona in 2012.

From age of 18 to age of 27 was addicted to drugs but by the Lord’s mercy I entered a Christian Rehab Home in Anaheim, CA in 2007.  Where I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and spent almost 3 years serving as Christian Home Director helping and assisting those in need of rehabilitation.

In 2009 I met my wife Diana in church and in 2010 got married.  I’m a proud parent of 4 children (Johnny, Daniela, Brenda and Seth).

2019 is when we began street preaching.  The Lord put it in my heart to go out and Preach outside a marijuana Dispensary in Mesa, AZ.  The crowds were big outside of the dispensary due to Covid.  So we spent a couple months preaching outside of the dispensary.

I would post the street preaching on Facebook and one day Matthew Redondo reached out and began to join us preaching outside Dispensary.  From there we started joining Matthew evangelizing in the streets and have been doing so at least once a week since 2019.

If the Lord has put it your heart to go out preach I would recommend to just go out and do it.  There is no right way.  Learn from others experiences, pray and read your bible daily.  God needs workers in the field. Amen!

In 2017, the Lord graciously saved Shayna out of the New Age. She was raised Catholic and abandoned the religion after graduating high school. She then went on to live a promiscuous lifestyle, accompanied by drugs, partying and occult practices. Her family was saved in 2012 and faithfully shared the gospel with her, while consistently praying for her salvation. Missing her family dearly after she chose to distance herself from them, Shayna agreed to attend their church. On November 19, 2017 God granted her repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Shayna was given eyes to see and felt the weight of her sin. She was confronted with conviction knowing that without Jesus she would be left behind, separated from God and her family for all eternity. Praise God for His mercy! Ever since becoming a new creation in Christ, Shayna’s heart has been full of zeal for the Lord and His word.

Shayna, now 33 years old, was born and raised in New Jersey, but lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, Jacob Nichols - a godly man who has the gift of evangelism and captured her heart at a bible study in 2019. With her husband having a similar testimony to her own, they are dedicated to sharing the gospel with the lost. Shayna has accompanied Jacob at the abortion clinics in Phoenix through the End Abortion Now ministry, helping save the lives of the pre-born while witnessing to the Planned Parenthood escorts (who are volunteers from the Satanic Temple). Shayna and Jacob have been married and serving the Lord together for a little over a year.

I grew up in a non-Christian home. As a young man I was an atheist. I got heavily into drugs and alcohol throughout most of the 80’s. I had a good job, a great wife and two beautiful little boys. I was slowly starting to realize that I could lose it all due to my drug addictions, but we just couldn’t stop. About this time the Lord brought great conviction on me, and we started attending a small Baptist church. We were still using drugs, but one Sunday morning the conviction was just too great. We came home from service and fell on our knees weeping and praying Jesus would take away our drug addictions. To our amazement he did.  Overnight it was just gone! No fan fair, no moving experience, we didn’t even have to send money to some TV preacher. The desire to have drugs that had so enslaved us for so long was just gone. Biblical instruction started making more sense and we rejoiced in our Savior! That was some 30 plus years ago.

My dear wife been married 40yrs. We have three grown children all of which have been redeemed by the grace of God. I was a men’s pastor of a small church for many years, my wife and I had a small ministry at a convalescence for years until Covid shut us down.  I have been privileged to preach this glorious gospel at colleges, street corners, sporting events, country fairs and churches.  I feel humble to be a part of SFOI to see souls saved the gospel of Christ.

In my spare time I enjoy hunting, fishing, and motorcycles.
